Christine Burns, in her 10 years with the New York Career Institute, taught court reporting theory and tested all speeds (from 30 to 260 WPM), realtime transcription using CaseCATalyst software, and grammar, punctuation, and proofreading. She tutored and mentored students and assisted with program development and class scheduling, as well as administrative duties that included assisting with job placement.  Since 2022 she has taught Theory courses at the Hardeman School.  She is an energetic, dedicated, and resourceful steno instructor, and we are so pleased to have her
